| About the Artist |
Caitlin Rawlins was born in Athens, Georgia and spent most of her
childhood in the Western North Carolina mountains.
After a brief stint at Columbia College in South Carolina, Caitlin
decided that she wanted to return to North Carolina to attend the
University of North Carolina at Asheville. In April 2009, Caitlin's first
solo exhibition, The Eyes Have It: The Reciprocating Gaze, opened as
part of the senior requirements at UNCA. Now, after having finished
her B.A. degree in Art with a concentration in painting this May, Caitlin
hopes to pursue a job related to the arts before eventually returning
to school to get an M.F.A.
In addition to painting, Caitlin also makes and sells earrings which
can be bought at Annawear in Highlands, NC and Man's Ruin Tattoo
and Art Gallery in Asheville, NC.
